Day 02 of New York Comic Con!

Today was PANEL DAY! I have never done panels ever and was very excited to! Last year I got sick and had to miss out! This year I made sure not to get sick so I could attend. So I woke up extremely early like 6:30am and got ready and dressed up and everything but still somehow arrived near the back of the line! Got extremely lucky because I heard a friend scream my name who was near the front and I skipped! When they started letting us in I ran for the side that had a line set up for the Elementary Panel. This year they decided to do things different. Any panels in the main stage were to get wrist bands and then you had a seat secured for you when the panel began. So trust me when I said I waited HOURS. They didn't hand out wrist bands until 10:30am! So when I finally got that I ran to the Empire Stage because I didn't want to miss The Librarians Panel which was at 11:00am.

The Librarians. 11:00am

Writer John Rogers, Lindy Booth, Rebecca Rominj-Stamos and Christian Kane. Partial cast of The Librarians
Christian Kane
Rebecca Romijn
John Kim
I was extremely excited for this panel because I am a huge fan of Christian Kane! I loved his character on Leverage in which he played Eliot the Hitter on a team of criminals turned good guys who seek to find leverage between the rich and the unfortunate. In this new series The Librarians (a group of librarians set off on adventures in an effort to save mysterious, ancient artifacts.) he plays the role Jake Stone, a farm boy who loves art history but it is looked down upon. He is then recruited by "the Library" and is in training to become the next "Librarian" should anything happen to the current one. Along side Christian Kane is Rebecca Rominj, John Kim, John Larroquette, Lindy Booth and the original Librarian Noah Wyle. I got to see the introduction of the series and the first 20 minutes of the first episode. I was also able to see some sneak peeks of other celebrities who will be on the show. My favorite part of this panel was when Christian Kane blurted out one of the names of the celebrities who will be on the show and he got teased by everyone about it. I found it extremely funny and I loved how the entire cast is humble and love what they do. They also enjoy the fans and I was happy to have seen them even though I couldn't get his autograph.

Elementary. 12:45pm

Lucy Liu, Johnny Lee Miller, Ophelia Lovibond and Producer John Polson
Elementary was AMAZING. Firstly I arrived late because I stayed for the whole time at The Librarians so I ended up getting a seat in the back but thanks to my trusty 55-200mm lens I was able to snap fairly close-up photos. I was extremely happy because GUESS WHO GOT TO WATCH SEASON 3 EPISODE 1! I DID! I DID!! Ha! After the episode the actors came onto the stage with one of the producers and they talked about where the show was going this upcoming season. Ophelia Lovibond plays Kitty, Sherlock's new protege and goes head to head with Watson in a cat fight. The newest season is going to show case each person's relationship to one another as well as a wider scope on the Sherlock story in general. I'm hoping Moriarty comes back because Natalie Dormer <3 This was a much longer panel only because they aired the episode. What I loved most about this was the little perverted jokes that got thrown in without realization and Johnny Lee Miller was pointing at the speaker and said "ha ha I see what you did there. Tsk tsk for shame." (paraphrased lol in case anyone looks at the youtube video of this panel and said I stated something other wise). I also enjoyed when the mics went out and the producer John Polson continued his answer out loud and surprisingly I heard him clear from wayyyy back. I loved that these actors and producers show love in responding fully to what the audience questions and doesn't leave us feeling like it's for the money as opposed to what the audience is looking for, a good tv show.

And those were the only two panels I went to because OMG they are so exhausted! All that waiting x.x I got hungry and after food all I could think about was going outside for fresh air because I felt so claustrophobic. Once outside I enjoyed the fresh air and then met up with my friends. We all talked and I shared with them my first panel experience. One of them showed my boyfriend a new set of Pop Heroes and he went nuts! So we ran to Toy Tokyo so he could get the set. He got upset because we couldn't get the full set so he decided not to and instead picked up a Pop Hero figurine that I liked.

Today was an extremely long day but now I know how prepared I need to be for tomorrow's panels that I want to go to.
